BRAINROT investigates the zombie narrative as an external allegory for the internal effects of sexual assault. The story follows characters Lori Artinian and Harper Carnell through a queer horror romance as they seek to make sense of revenge, catharsis, and the lasting effects of their past trauma within a blossoming romantic connection. The project includes a variety of illustrated spreads, full bleed illustrations, and isolated spot illustrations to accompany the original text. Each illustration was hand-drawn using brush and ink techniques and placed within a sixty-four page printed novella.
